Šibenik and Krka make a natural pair, but they are different trips. The city rewards slow walking between the cathedral, fortresses and waterfront. The park requires a chosen entrance, route and current transport plan.
Use Šibenik as the urban base if you are travelling without a car. Drivers can also stay near Skradin or another park gateway, provided the entrance matches the intended route.
Give the city time
Šibenik is not simply the stop before Krka. Its steep stone lanes, Cathedral of St James and fortress viewpoints justify at least one full day.
Choose the park entrance
Lozovac and Skradin support different approaches to Skradinski buk. Other park sites sit farther north and should not be assumed to fit the same short visit.
Connect the two
Seasonal buses and local services can change. Check the park and bus operator information for the exact date, especially outside summer.

Buy or reserve park entry only after checking the entrance, opening arrangements and official transport. Carry water and footwear suitable for stone paths and steps.

Zadar and Split lie on the same general coastal corridor. Trogir can follow en route to Split, but not every service stops where a map suggests.
