Ways to adjust the route

Use a dated intercity coach from Vilnius Bus Station to Kaunas Bus Station and allow 90 to 125 minutes.
1
Use a reserved through coach from Kaunas Bus Station to Klaipėda Bus Station and allow 190 to 260 minutes.

Lithuania’s main rail axis makes these three cities a natural first route. Vilnius carries the broadest sightseeing programme, Kaunas adds modernist architecture and a compact centre, and Klaipėda opens the way to the Curonian Spit and Baltic coast.

Keep three distinct city stays

Give Vilnius three nights, Kaunas two and Klaipėda two before the final departure. That balance provides complete days in every city and leaves Vilnius enough time for neighbourhoods beyond the Old Town. Kaunas should not be reduced to a station break on the way west.

Use rail for the long moves

Trains make the intercity legs simpler than driving and remove city parking from the plan. Check the dated schedule and reserve services that suit hotel check-in. In Klaipėda, local ferry and bus planning becomes more important if the trip continues onto the Curonian Spit.

Add coast time carefully

With ten days, add two nights in Nida rather than attempting the spit as a rushed final outing. With six days, choose Vilnius and Kaunas for a city route or Vilnius and Klaipėda for stronger contrast. Trakai fits best as a separate day from Vilnius.
