Why explore Mediterranean and Karst Slovenia
Slovenia’s coast is short enough to link Piran, Portorož and Koper, but each has a different role. Piran is the historic highlight, Portorož has resort beaches and hotels, and Koper is a working regional centre with the strongest transport links.
Postojna and Škocjan are separate cave visits. Farther north, the Vipava Valley and Goriška Brda reward a slower route built around villages, food and a safe driving plan.
